A new facility planned for Moraine State Park aims to turn Lake Arthur into a hub for recreational and competitive rowing.
According to State Representative Aaron Bernstine, a state-of-the-art rowing facility is coming to the Bear Run Boat Ramp courtesy of Mercer County native and philanthropist Howard Winklevoss.
In addition to supporting youth and adult rowing teams and beginners’ clinics, this facility is expected to boost the local economy and community engagement efforts.
Construction on training and boathouse facilities will begin later this fall, while Row America Pittsburgh programming at Moraine is expected to begin this April.
