Local residents are invited out to an activity at Moraine State Park this week to enjoy the recent spring-like weather.
On Wednesday from 1to 3:30 p.m. park staff will lead visitors on a “Heritage Skill Hike” over a four mile section of the North Country Trail.
This hike will leave from the Pavilion 7 McDanels Area on the North Shore and begin with twisting cordage from a native plant before heading out to focus on views of the nature around Lake Arthur.
Participants of all ages are advised to dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear as well as bring water and snacks.
