More information is being released about the process that led the state Secretary of Education to reinstate a Slippery Rock School District principal.
An order was issued late last week that reinstated Dr. Kristie Shulsky to her position as principal at Moraine Elementary School.
According to the order, Shulsky was let go after allegations she was intoxicated at work. The district also cited additional incidents, saying Shulsky threw a plastic container of sugar, used profanity in the workplace, and treated staff poorly.
However, the Secretary of Education ruled that there was either insufficient evidence about those claims, or that the district did not take the proper procedures in firing Shulsky.
The district said in a statement they were “disappointed in the decision” but would not comment further citing personnel matters.
