State police are providing more information about an incident that required a heavy police response in Connoquenessing Township over the weekend.
Police were called to a home on Evans City Road Saturday morning around 9 a.m. for a report of a man shooting on his property.
Police investigated and found the man to be Bryan Hartman, who was believed to be a felon and not allowed to possess a gun.
When on scene, police found Hartman firing .22 caliber handmade rifles on the property, which is beside Connoquenessing Elementary School. Police also say Hartman’s targets did not have a proper backstop.
He was taken into custody and charges were filed.
