Police are providing more information about a crash that involved a PennDOT truck earlier this week.
The crash happened Monday around 1:30 p.m. on Route 422 in Franklin Township.
State police say a PennDOT truck driven by 25-year-old Trevor Callihan of Chicora tried to exit the Atrium parking lot and go west onto Route 422.
An oncoming vehicle in the westbound lane driven by 40-year-old Drew Piper of Butler then crashed into the plow. Piper’s car went off the road and hit two road signs. Piper was entrapped and had to be rescued by Prospect firefighters.
Piper was flown to Allegheny General Hospital with serious injuries.
