More information continues to be shared about a major pile-up accident I-79 that injured several people and killed one-person last week.
State Police have shared that shortly before 11 a.m. Friday three vehicles attempted to come to a stop about a mile south of where the major pile-up had happened in the north bound lane.
According to State Police vehicles driven by 44-year-old Andrew Borsch of Munhall, 44-year-old Crystal Weimer of Baden, and 29-year-old Paul Singer of Champion, collided with rather each other or a guide rail as they were attempting to stop while approaching the pule up crash.
All three vehicles lost control due to road conditions and Borsch was cited for driving at a safe speed.
There were no reported injuries in this crash and two vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
