Police are releasing more information on a crash that sent one person to a Pittsburgh hospital earlier this week.
The accident happened Monday morning around 10:30 in the 600 block of Chicora Road in Oakland Township.
Police say 75-year-old Fredrick Rupp of Chicora went off the road and hit a mailbox. His car then hit a utility pole and a tree. Rupp’s car also lost his front left tire in the crash.
Rupp was knocked unconscious and had to be extricated from the car.
He was flown to Allegheny General Hospital for his injuries.
