A mosquito sample in Butler County has tested positive for West Nile virus.
According to our news partners at WPXI, the test was taken from a collection of mosquitoes in Franklin Township.
The testing was done by the Mercer County Conservation District. Officials say additional monitoring and appropriate control work will be done in the area.
So far, there are no reported human cases of West Nile in Butler County.
