Electric bill rate increases for this year officially went into effect on Sunday and consumers should expect to pay more for the rest of the year.
West Penn Customers could see their bill raised five to eight percent or as much as $12 to $16 for customers using 1,000 kWh.
This comes after Governor Josh Shapiro reached a settlement agreement with PJM to prevent rates from raising as high as 40 percent.
