A date has been announced for nurses who have licenses in multiple states that will allow them to practice in Pennsylvania.
On September 5, registered nurses and practical nurses, who hold a multistate license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact will be permitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
Due to the authorization of Act 68 of 2021 Pennsylvania became one of 41 states that reached an agreement with the National Council for State Boards of Nursing.
A November 2022 study industry survey showed that 30 percent of Hospitals and Health Systems had vacancies for RNs.
