Nascar announced Tuesday an unprecedented change to its schedule for 2023 as it plans a 75th season. The Cup Series will take on a street course travelling through the streets of Chicago July 2nd after inking a three-year deal with the city. The new race will take the spot of the race at Road America in Wisconsin on the Cup Series schedule and will feature a 12-turn 2.2 mile street course.
The course will include Chicago’s Lake Shore Drive, Michigan Avenue and South Columbus Drive. It will pass through Grant Park with the start-finish line and pit area in front of Buckingham Fountain.
