NASCAR officially announced a return to racing on Sunday, May 17th – when they put cars back on the track at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina. They intend to hold seven races over an 11-day period, including four Cup Series races – two each at Darlington and two at Charlotte. The Coca-Cola 600 will be run on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. No fans will be in attendance at any of the races. Safety guidelines will include drivers having to self-isolate in their motor homes as they prepare for competition. There will be no practices or qualifying. NASCAR suspended its season March 13th after completing four of its 36 scheduled races.
