The Final Four games of the men’s and women’s basketball tournaments will be played this weekend. The women’s games begin today with the men’s games tomorrow. Today at 6pm – South Carolina will face Stanford. UConn will meet Arizona at 9:30pm. The winners play Sunday night at 6pm.
The men’s national semifinal games begin Saturday at 5pm with Baylor and Houston. Top-overall seed Gonzaga will meet UCLA at 8:30pm. The national title game is Monday at 9pm.
Legendary basketball coach Roy Williams is retiring after 33 seasons and over 900 wins. Williams led the Kansas Jayhawks for 15 years before moving on to North Carolina, where he spent the past 18 seasons. He led the Jayhawks to four Final Four appearances, then went on to win three national titles with the Tar Heels. The Hall of Fame coach is fourth on the all-time Division I wins-list with a record of 903-264. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007.
