It’s the first year you can vote by mail in Pennsylvania, and registered voters are showing significant interest.
Pennsylvania’s Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar says that nearly 2.5 million of registered voters in Pennsylvania have applied for either mail-in or absentee ballots this fall.
For context, there are 8.9 million registered voters in PA.
Here in Butler County, at latest report there were over 40,000 applications for mail-in ballots for the upcoming general election.
All precincts will still be open though for in-person voting.
