Data shows many residents of Butler Township continue to take advantage of a perk first included with trash service in 2019- recycling of electronics and hazardous household waste.
Butler Township looked back on the first year of collection following the agreement with Waste Management.
According to data supplied Monday to the board, nearly 31 tons of hazardous household and e-waste was collected from residents during 2019- including over 5,000 pounds of computer related equipment, nearly 8,000 pounds of paint, and nearly 22 tons of TVs.
Butler Township residents with questions about the process of disposing of items like these should contact Waste Management or the Township for more information.
