A new program at BC3 is already one of the school’s most popular for the upcoming fall.
The 60-credit health science program now has the 3rd most students, behind general studies and the Nursing, R.N. programs.
Dr. Patty Annear, dean of the college’s Shaffer School of Nursing and Allied Health, says students can get an associate degree in health science that prepares them for selective two and four year programs in other health care professions.
“This provides a strong foundation to prepare students for a health care profession,” Annear said, “and it has good transferability.”
The latest stats show that more workers were employed in health care and social assistance in Butler and surrounding counties than any other industry.
