A New Castle man faces a laundry list of charges after he was arrested following a standoff with police on Friday.
According to our news partners at WPXI, Fredrick Lee Bowen was arrested following the afternoon SWAT standoff that started on Friendship Street. Police say they responded to the area after locating Bowen’s vehicle, which was involved in an earlier armed robbery at Dollar General.
Authorities say that they were unsuccessful in finding Bowen at the home after using tear gas and a drone, but were able to find the suspect fleeing a home on South Mercer Street after searching vacant homes in the area.
Police then booked Bowen into the Lawrence County Jail, but on charges stemming from his expected involvement in armed robbery at a 7-Eleven on July 13th.
Bowen’s charges from Friday’s incident are expected to be filed on Monday.
