A New Castle man is out thousands of dollars following an online fraud.
According to the New Castle Barracks of the State Police, at least one unknown person allegedly accessed a New Castle man’s computer and E-Trade account last week.
Police say that the suspect, who remotely accessed both the computer and account, then withdrew approximately $27,000 from the victim’s account over a period of several days. The incident was reported to authorities last Tuesday.
An investigation into the case continues.
