A new position will soon be established at Butler County Community College that aims to help businesses in the area.
The job will be known as the Director of Community Employment Development. It will operate out of BC3’s workforce development department.
It’s all a part of the county’s Empowerment Initiative, which looks to unite the county’s workforce with compatible companies looking for employees.
The main duties of the director will be to work and maintain relationships with employers in the county, along with coordinating training events and working with social services.
The county agreed to pay for the position for at least three years.
