The new owner of the former Butler Junior High and Middle School is expected to present his plans for the facility at next week’s meeting of Butler City Council.
Earlier this month, a hearing at the Butler County Courthouse resulted in business owner Steve Mitnick making the highest bid of $475,000 for the former school.
Mitnick plans to turn the older portion of the building into a self-storage unit, and the newer addition into around 70 fully furnished spaces for small businesses.
The project is currently in a 120-day contingency pending zoning approval. Mitnick has been in contact with Butler City solicitor Tom Breth and requested to speak at the next Council meeting on Thursday (3/27).
