Schools will soon be able to serve whole milk for lunch following a new federal law.
Congressman Glenn Thompson of Pennsylvania sponsored the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act that passed the U.S. House last week.
Thompson says the bill will help the dairy industry, believing that more kids will drink milk in, and out of school, since whole milk is now available.
The initial ban on whole milk came in 2010.
