
A law inspired by remembering a man who was killed by a distracted driver will be going into effect next week.
It’s known as “Paul Miller’s Law” and will prohibit the use of any hand-held device while driving even when traffic is stopped temporarily. It will go into effect on Thursday next week. The law aims to prevent texting while driving.
The law is named after aa Monroe County man who was killed by a distracted driver in 2010.
