A new lawsuit has been filed against A.J. Meyers and Sons for a school bus crash in Mars that sent several children to the hospital earlier this year.
In March, a bus filled with children crashed into a tree on Three Degree Road after the driver had a medical emergency. The driver would later die in the hospital.
Later that month a lawsuit was filed by several parents against A.J. Meyers and Sons and the Mars Area School District; that lawsuit is ongoing.
A new suit was filed last week against A.J. Meyers and Sons by parents of one student who claim the child has been dealing with lingering effects since the crash.
The suit claims the child was removed from the bus unconscious and has dealt with concussion and emotional symptoms that have required healthcare treatment since the accident.
The parents are seeking more than $35,000 in damages.
