A new law that looks to improve the Pennsylvania Lottery was recently signed by Governor Josh Shapiro.
House bill 1058 allows the lottery more flexibility to offer new and more competitive games with higher payouts.
The lottery’s profit margin requirement of 20% has been reduced to 10% which promises games with larger payouts and more chances to win.
The law is expected to boost lottery returns and increase funding for programs benefiting older residents that are supported by lottery proceeds.
