Butler County is taking another step as they plan to start a new paramedic training program.
County commissioners recently approved an agreement with Impulse Training Academy to help with the new paramedic program.
Officials say the program will start around September and run 18 months until January 2027. Applicants must be current EMTs and must commit to working in Butler County for at least one year following their graduation.
The new academy aims to bolster the number of paramedics in the county.
