State police are releasing crash data from this New Year’s holiday.
Over the five-day period, police investigated nearly 1,100 crashes across the state. Three people died in those accidents, while another 158 were injured.
Police say alcohol was a factor in 69 of those crashes.
The three fatal crashes were more than last year, which had one fatality over the three-day holiday period. Troopers also made 378 arrests for driving under the influence.
