NFL Playoffs:
–Kansas City eliminated the Indianapolis Colts with a 31-13 victory Saturday in the Divisional playoffs.
The Chiefs will host the New England Patriots Sunday night in the AFC Championship game.
–New England pounded the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday 41-28. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady went 34 of 44 for 343 yards and a touchdown, as the Patriots put up nearly 500 yards of offense. It will be New England’s eighth consecutive trip to the AFC championship game, and the 13th conference championship game appearance for the Patriots in the Tom Brady-Bill Belichik era.
–The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Dallas Cowboys 30-22 on Saturday. The Rams will visit the New Orleans in the NFC Championship game Sunday afternoon after the Saints eliminated the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles 20-14. Saints quarterback Drew Brees threw two touchdown passes and cornerback Marshon Lattimore picked off two Nick Foles passes for the victory. The Eagles had built an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter, but were outscored 20-0 the rest of the game.
