The NHL Draft begins tonight with the First Round selections starting at 7pm. The event will be televised on ESPN. The Penguins have the 14th overall selection.
The Chicago Blackhawks have the first overall pick, and are expected to select Connor Bedard, who is presumed to be another “generational talent”. Chicago has already made a trade ahead of the draft to bring in former NHL MVP Taylor Hall from the Boston Bruins to bring a veteran presence to the line Bedard will likely play on. Hall was the first overall selection in the 2010 draft, taken by the Edmonton Oilers.
