Stanley Cup Playoffs:
–The New York Islanders eliminated the Washington Capitals following a 4-0 victory last night in Toronto. The Islanders won the series 4-1 to move into the Second Round.
–The Philadelphia Flyers are a game away from moving on and will meet the Montreal Canadiens tonight at 7pm in Game Six of their series. The Flyers are up 3-2.
–In the Western Conference – Dallas eliminated Calgary with a 7-2 victory.
NBA Playoffs:
–Miami 109 Indiana-100. The Heat lead the series 2-0.
–Houston defeated Oklahoma City 111-98 to go up 2-0 in their series.
–Milwaukee evened their series at 1-1 with Orlando following a 111-96 victory.
–The Los Angeles Lakers tied the Portland Trail Blazers at 1-1 after a 111-88 win.
The Minnesota Timberwolves won the 2020 NBA draft lottery Thursday, getting the first pick in the October draft. The Timberwolves, who had the NBA’s third-worst record, will be followed by the Golden State Warriors, who ended the season with the worst record, and then the Charlotte Hornets and Chicago Bulls in the draft.
