The Butler Health System announced on Saturday afternoon that they have begun their no visitor policy due to confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Allegheny County.
According to the Health System’s website, there are no confirmed COVID-19 cases in Butler or Clarion Counties. However, the entity added that there were confirmed cases in Allegheny and Washington Counties. Also on the company’s website is the following….
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, FOR THE SAFETY OF PATIENTS, HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS, AND THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE, NO VISITORS ARE PERMITTED AT BUTLER MEMORIAL HOSPITAL.
BHS acting in the interest of patient safety is moving forward immediately to a no-visitation policy for Butler Memorial Hospital.
The restrictions went into effect around 2pm on Saturday. BHS also provided guidelines regarding surgeries, outpatient services, as well as emergency and maternity care and end of life care.
