–The North Catholic Boys Basketball team defeated Aliquippa 61-49 last night in the WPIAL 3A semifinals. Isaac DeGregorio had a game-high 23 points to lead the Trojans into the league title game. North Catholic improved to 21-4 this season and will meet Lincoln Park at the Petersen Events Center Thursday at 9pm.
–The North Catholic Girls also have reached the WPIAL championship in Class 4A after defeating Elizabeth Forward 64-50. Kylee Lewandowski led all scorers with 24. The Trojanettes improved to 21-3 this year and will meet Central Valley at the Petersen Events Center Friday at 7pm.
–Tonight: the Mars Boys will face Chartiers Valley in the 5A semifinals. Tip-off at Fox Chapel high school is 8pm.
–In District-9: The AC Valley Girls will meet Keystone in the 2A semifinals tonight. The game was to be played at Moniteau high school, but has been moved to Union because of the power problems at Moniteau. Tip-off is 8pm.
–The Karns City and Keystone Boys will meet in a 2A consolation game at Union tonight at 5:45pm.
