At least one person has been injured as a result of an accident Wednesday afternoon in Butler Township.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly after 4 p.m. for the accident in the 1200 block of North Main Street Extension near the North Main Street Church of God.
Emergency responders from Butler Township and the city of Butler as well as Butler Ambulance Service arrived on the scene to find two separate accidents. Apparently the second occurred when motorists slowed down to look at the first one. Pennsylvania American Water was called for damage to a hydrant. Reports from the scene are that a dog may have been injured as well. Also the driver of one of the vehicles was taken into custody.
Traffic was delayed for a time in that area while crews were on the scene. At least one vehicle needed to be towed.
