The organization that helps promote organ donations says that October marked a new milestone.
Last month set a new record for the most organ and tissue donors in Western Pennsylvania, and surrounding areas.
Officials with the Center for Organ Recovery and Education say that 45 organ donors gave a second chance of life to other individuals on the transplant waiting list.
That resulted in 113 total organs transplanted.
There were also 137 tissue donors that offered healing to 10,000 people.
