After securing a state grant for renovations of Diamond Park in downtown Butler, the county is exploring another grant opportunity.
County commissioners approved an application for an $800,000 “Main Street Matters” grant through the state.
Commissioners say the plans to update the park are in the preliminary stages. But, the proposed plan would see the removal of the fountain and addition of a stage and sound system to accommodate events in the park.
