One motorist was injured following a motorcycle crash that occurred last week in Jefferson Township.
According to State Police 61-year-old David McKinney of Cabot was riding his motorcycle on Riemer Road near Winfield Road just after 9pm on Monday (June 13th) when a deer jumped out onto the roadway.
Authorities say that McKinney was unable to avoid the deer and struck it head on.
Officials say that McKinney, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of his injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in Monday’s crash.
