A local motorist was seriously injured following a two vehicle crash that occurred earlier this month in Winfield Township.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, an International truck was traveling on Route 356 near Winfield Road back on September 10th when the driver allegedly ran a red light.
Authorities say that the truck then struck a minivan driven by a 31-year-old Freeport woman. Officials say that the woman suffered serious injuries, and was taken to Allegheny General Hospital for treatment.
Police also say that a one-year-old minivan passenger was also taken to Allegheny General Hospital for evaluation.
Officials plan to cite the truck driver with a traffic violation.
