At least one person was injured as a result of a motorcycle accident Wednesday afternoon in Jefferson Township.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center just before 2:30 p.m. for the crash in the 600 block of North Pike Road (Route 356).
Police say 18-year-old Emily Kennedy of Butler was driving south on Route 356 when she tried to make a left turn. That’s when her vehicle collided into another car driven by 31-year-old Ryan Walters of Ford City and a motorcycle driven by 32-year-old Shawn Henry of Kittanning.
Henry was seriously injured in the crash and had to be flown to UPMC Mercy.
Kennedy and Walters were evaluated at the scene.
Traffic in the area did need to be shut down for nearly an hour until the scene was able to be cleared.
