Pirates top draft pick Paul Skenes made his affiliate debut Tuesday, throwing 10 of his 16 pitches for strikes. The former LSU star struck out two in his one inning of work for the Bradenton Marauders.
The Pirates sent starting pitcher Quinn Priester back to Triple-A Indianapolis yesterday. Priester had a 9.17 ERA over six major league starts. Yohan Ramirez was recalled to take his roster spot.
