One man is dead and one woman is in custody after a fatal shooting over the weekend in Cranberry Township.
26-year-old Amanda Hughes is facing criminal homicide charges after she allegedly shot and killed her boyfriend early Sunday morning.
According to Cranberry Township Police, they were called to a domestic disturbance just after midnight Sunday at a home in the 500 block of Brandywine Drive.
When police arrived, they found 30-year-old Anthony Smith with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a Pittsburgh trauma center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say Hughes called 9-1-1 after shooting Smith, but left the home and went to a neighbor’s house. Police soon took Hughes into custody and she is being held in the Butler County Prison.
