As voters across the country gear up for a big election season, residents in Pennsylvania can now take advantage of a new way to vote.
Online applications are now available for mail-in ballots. Voting by mail was one of the election reforms passed by the state legislature last year.
If you always want to receive a mail-in ballot, that’s an option you can choose online too says Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar.
“Let’s just say you know that you’re always going to want to vote by mail-in ballot, and then not only will you get the ballot in the mail for the primary, but you’ll also get it in November,” Boockvar said.
“You don’t have to re-apply, so it’s really convenient for voters to just do it once and they’re covered for the rest of the year,” Boockvar said.
If you want to apply for a mail-in ballot, you can visit VotesPA.com The deadline to apply is April 21st.
