Local young people are invited to participate in activities continuing this week at McConnells Mill State Park.
Outdoor Explorers for kids ages 6 to 8 is being offered Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Kildoo Picnic Area.
Those attending these two different experiences will learn about rocks, geology, and the Slippery Rock Gorge as well as have the chance to tour the historic gristmill. Adults must accompany children during the camp. Visitors should dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, bring drink and a lunch.
Registration is required through the DCNR Calendar of Events website.
