There are now over 100,000 residents of Butler County who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
The latest data from the Department of Health shows that the county reached the milestone this past week, which works out to about 53 percent of the county’s total population.
It comes as COVID cases continue to surge locally, but doctors and public health officials hope that continued increases in vaccination rates will help blunt the spread of the disease.
Data also shows that around 1,800 immunocompromised patients have received an additional third shot in Butler County per CDC guidance.
