State officials say there is positive results coming from an initiative to reduce drug overdoses.
The Overdose Prevention Program sent out nearly 800,000 doses of the overdose reversal drug Naloxone, along with 737,000 fentanyl and xylazine test strips to community organizations.
According to a new report, there were nearly 9,500 overdose reversals reported by frontline organizations in the first nine months of last year.
Early reporting also finds that 2025 had the fewest overdose deaths in Pennsylvania in more than a decade.
