A project is underway to replace more than a mile of water lines in Butler City and Butler Township.
Pennsylvania American Water announced they have begun a $1.6 million improvement project that will install a new water main on Brown Avenue, Delwood Road, and a portion of Whitestown Road near the intersection with South Duffy Road.
The project is expected to last into the summer, so drivers may see weekday delays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
PA American Water officials say the new line will help handle larger demand, and eliminate service interruptions.
