There’s still time for schools to take advantage of available state funds to help introduce kids to fresh local food and healthy food choices.
A half million dollars in PA Farm Bill grants are now available through the Farm to School Program.
The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is now accepting applications for up to $15,000 in funding for school projects that include building and improving school gardens as well as educational activities about agriculture.
The deadline to apply to this program is this Friday. Visit the Department of Community and Economic Development website to submit applications or for more information.
