The Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt is reminding all voters to know their rights when heading to the polls.
- First time voters or those voting at a new precinct must show valid ID.
- Those who planned to vote by mail but are not voting in person must return their mail in ballot, including the outer envelope.
- If you no longer have your ballot you can still go to the polls and vote provisionally. The county elections office will decide if the vote is counted.
- If your name is not in the voting rolls book, poll workers can call the elections office to confirm your polling place.
- Voters who have moved within the Commonwealth can still vote at their previous precinct but must update their address at their polling place.
- Voters have both a right to assistance by asking and a right to refuse assistance.
