Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity recently returned some memorabilia to a family in Butler County.
The items included a photo of a Civil War soldier, a Civil War Eagle Belt Buckle, and a World War II hat pin.
Like many military medals and memorabilia, these items arrived at PA Treasury as the contents of a safe deposit box that was reported as unclaimed property.
Garrity has returned nearly 400 military decorations to the veterans who earned them or their families.
