Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate was up slightly in September according to numbers that were delayed by the federal government shutdown.
The PA Department of Labor recently released data that shows the state unemployment rate up by a tenth of a percent to 4.1 percent.
The nation’s unemployment rate numbers were also up one-tenth of a point over the month to 4.4 percent. Compared to September figures last year, the state has had an increase in unemployment of four tenths of a percent while the country experienced a three tenths percent increase.
The federal government has decided not to release unemployment data from October while November’s figures will be made public next month.
