Thanks to the generosity of a local company, fewer people will be going hungry in the southwestern PA region.
Pennsylvania American Water has announced that the company has made a donation of $25,000 to support the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s Grow Share Thrive Initiative.
This campaign will extend the Food Bank’s network of partners to include organizations that can reach individuals who do not consider assistance from traditional food pantries.
This donation will also support the construction of a new community pantry at the Food Bank’s headquarters in Duquesne which will provide training as well as connections to resources for those in need.
