A directive by President Biden expands VA health care availability by eliminating the eight year phased-in approach to provide better and more affordable health outcomes for veterans.
VA health care programs and benefits are now available for veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan who left active duty after 9/11. Even veterans who never deployed but were exposed to toxins or hazards while training or on active duty in the U.S. are eligible to enroll.
To apply for care or benefits, veterans are asked to visit VA.gov/PACT or call 1-800-MYVA411.
